A leading expert of universal economy and foreign affairs institute of Russian Science Academy, Alexander Krilov commented on Armenian debt forgiveness, as Russia did in case of Kirgizstan, in the interview with “First Armenian News and Analysis”.
In Kirgizstan it is obvious who will rule in coming years, as the elections took place lately. In Armenia it is different, as presidential elections are ahead. “That’s why I think that Russian authorities won’t hurry in forgiving Armenian debt. It is not excluded that there will be change of rule in Armenia, and nothing is certain on how close it will be to European vector and how far from Russian one. Thus, till the factor of power is not certain, the forgiveness of Armenian debt will not be discussed.”- said the expert.
He didn’t exclude that after presidential elections the issue will be discussed.
