Urban Development Minister Samvel Tadevosyan in today’s session presented to the Government the findings made in the public library. According to him, the library was built in 1937, in 2005 estimate was drawn up for reconstruction work.
Reconstruction work began in 2008 and finished in December, 2011.
“690 million AMD has been spent for reconstruction. The main work has been done in a wrong order. The seismic grounds of the internal and external water penetration have not been taken into account. A significant part of the work is of poor quality. ”
According to Mr. Tadevosyan words, significant part of the work is to be redone, and there is need to work on strengthening the building.
“It is just scandalous. 700 million AMD has been allocated from the state budget, the work is not still done, and it turns out that the government should allocate more money. If in such an important subject matter there is such scandalous attitude, one can imagine what kind of violations take place in other structures. ”
