Journalists of “Joghovurt” daily today interviewed Lyudmila Sargsyan, ANC (Armenian National Congress) member, concerning ANC plans and Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s nomination issue. We should recall that earlier ANC announced about a meeting to be held on September, but now they changed their minds and will hold it on October. Asked about this change of plans and passive state Ms. Sargsyan responded that they have decided to hold the meeting on October since their leader, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, hasn’t still decided whether he will be nominated for the presidential elections or not. “I think we should wait while Levot Ter-Petrosyan makes the final decision and after it we will continue our actions as an opposition and will publicly announce about his decision”.
Sargsyan also touched upon the issue last Saturday President Sargsyan’s meeting with the Government and PM, Tigran Sargsyan. “I think it was just a show. I have question. If Sargsyan knew that his government doesn’t work properly why he had once again put Tigran Sargsyan on PM’s position? This is just a show as I mentioned, everything is under President’s control, he wants to show that he is “concerned” with country’s problems. I can surely say that no issue was solved during that meeting, and the corruption is still going on in our country ” stressed Lyudmila Sargsyan.
