Azerbaijani media reports that Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General, Kamaleddin Heydarov, has held several mutual meetings within the 56th general session of International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.
As reported, Azerbaijani delegation has met with the Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Yuri Fedorov, in the UN office in Vienna.
The cooperation between Azerbaijan and international organizations and the issues of mutual interests were discussed at the meeting.
Heydarov had a bilateral meeting with IAEA general director, Yukia Amano.
The issue of joining of Azerbaijan to IAEA’s centre on Crisis in Emergency Situations, creation of the background of radiation map of the territory of Azerbaijan, the potential development of skilled workers, the implementation of the projects within Technological Cooperation Program and the successful way of the mutual relations were discussed during the meeting.
Amano has been invited to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan.
