The press secretary of the Forum of Armenian Associations of Europe (FAAE) informs that Bela Bugari, president of the Party of the Hungarian National Council of Slovakia, was concerned about the Safarov’s case and made the following statements:
“I’m very angry at Hungarian side, especially with PM Orban, who not only made the mistake by extraditing Safarov, but also confirms that he had done it according to the law. With this step the reputation of Hungary is in doubt throughout the world.
Commenting on the Ashot Grigoryan’s (President of FAAE) announcements that Hungary has made a deal with Azerbaijan, Bugari said:
“May be earlier I didn’t want to believe in it, but now I don’t see any other reasons for doing that terrible step, maybe the PM has done it for his personal reasons. I want to recall that this issue wouldn’t have been so terrible if the Azerbaijani side didn’t honor the murderer. So both sides have made a big mistake. I want to stress that Hungarians are against the decision, and I don’t want Armenians to “hate” Hungarians, because they have nothing to do with the decision which was made by Orban.” Said Bugari and added:
“As a result, the justice was sold and the murderer was honored! This is unacceptable.”
