During the discussions of the government the head of the “Heritage” faction Ruben Hakobyan once again voiced the need for the recognition of the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh by Armenia, especially in the context of recent events.
“It is not the time for Armenia’s Foreign Ministry to submit a claim to the Minsk Group co-chair countries to recognize the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh,” said Ruben Hakobyan, emphasizing the works done for international recognition of the NKR.
RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said that Armenia should continue to pursue the policy that has the acceptance from the international community.
“These days, dozens of foreign ministers are calling me and expressing full support. At this point, we should lead a careful policy that we led up to now. Armenia will continue its efforts towards the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This is the basis of our negotiations.” said Nalbandian.
