The government of Armenia has not received a formal proposal to take part in the Eurasian Union. Today, on September 12, at the discussions with the RA government the RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan announces this, answering the question of ARF member Artsvik Minasyan.
“It is not clear in what the format the EurAzEC will be, what tools and documents will be created. Currently active discussions are underway regarding the future of the EurAzEC, and Armenia will participate in these discussions.” said T. Sargsyan.
The Prime Minister noted that Armenia is interested in the integration processes in the Eurasian Union, but one should not contrast these processes. “The RF political leadership’s statements coincide with our position: Eurasian integration cannot be contrasted with a process of EU integration. If there are documents what the EurAsEC will present, we will discuss the issue of membership, “said the Prime Minister.
