Georgian media, citing the announcement made by Georgian Statistics Agency, reports that Azerbaijan ranks third among Georgia’s largest investors.
According to the preliminary data, Azerbaijan’s investment share in Georgia in the first half of the year was 10 percent.
As reported, during this time, Azerbaijan has invested $48.8 million in Georgia, and the direct foreign investments in Georgia totaled $488 million in the first six months of the year, or 29 percent more than in 2011.
The source also informs that Georgia received $ 219 million in the form of foreign direct investments in the first quarter of 2012, while $269 million in the second quarter.
