On Monday Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Elmir Velizade told reporters Azerbaijani market of information technology is of specific interest for the global IT vendors.
Velizade said that at the meeting with AMCHAM members, questions of creation in Azerbaijan of DATA-centers and information centers were discussed.
He noted that Azerbaijan wants to be an information source and provider of information services in the region.
“In this regard, there are contacts with international companies, and these issues are discussed. International vendors show great interest in Azerbaijan,” he said.
Azeri press services write that US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce produces both 80 percent of total foreign investment, and a significant proportion of domestic investments in Azerbaijani economy.
