The Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili, told Georgian journalists in Brussels, after meeting with President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy and European Commissioner for enlargement and neighborhood Stefan Fule, that holding of the free and fair elections in Georgia, is primarily in interests of the people and added that they will do everything in order to succeed the demand.
Georgian media reports that during the meeting, the conversation touched upon mainly on parliamentary elections and also on free trade, visa-free regime between Georgia and the EU.
According to Merabishvili, they discussed the election and agreed that the holding of free and fair elections is in interests of the Georgian people, and above all, in the interests of Georgia, as the integration into the European structures will give more benefits to the people of Georgia.
