On September 3 Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan invited a meeting of the Security Council, whose main agenda was devoted to the issue of immediate release and handing to Azerbaijan the criminal, who spitefully axed Armenian officer.
In his speech the President said that this criminal transaction could cause deep resentment among the Armenians, including Artsakh people. According to the head of the country, what happened reflects the moral and political climate in Azerbaijan, which is a continuation of fascist ideology and genocide. It is a violation of democratic principles and human rights and should be condemned by the civilized world.
Bako Sahakyan considered this monstrous step as a big stab to the process of negotiation and intermediary mission of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries. The President stressed that such actions taken by the enemy, its ongoing aggressive behavior cannot and will not remain unanswered.
