Coordinating Council of Armenian-French Organizations issued a statement in which it was written.
“30 years ago in 2006 Hungarian Justice sentenced to life imprisonment monster Ramil Safarov without the right to review, now his transfer to Azerbaijan and immediate release is not only encouragement of barbarism, but also violation of all kinds of laws in the field of international law, especially the Strasbourg Convention. Coordinating Council of Armenian-French Organizations, which has already expressed its bewilderment at this rowdy case, does not consider the decision as a final conclusion. It urges mostly the Hungarian authorities, who acted extremely unserious, to demand from Azerbaijan the return of the monster (, who was found guilty for brutally killing officer Gourgen Margaryan at Budapest NATO’s training) into prison. Armenian communities in France, as well as the whole Armenian nation both in native land and throughout the Diaspora, cannot tolerate them at the eve of the 100th anniversary of 1915 Genocide openly glorify t the organized slaughter.
Ramil Safarov’s release is a denial of justice towards Lieutenant Gourgen Markarian.
It is a violation of international law.
It is a challenge for the law of freedom and existence of Armenians.
It is provocation of a crime repetition.
We must condemn all this shameful conflicting values of the Council of Europe, whose members are both Hungary and Azerbaijan . We must require to re-arrest Safarov and continue to control the implementation of judgment on international conditions.
