On August 29, at 18:00 pm, ended the period for September 9 local government election candidates’ self-rejection reports in 380 communities of Ararat, Armavir, Lori, Shirak, Syunik regions. This was reported by “Pastinfo” news agency.
The Central Election Commission has not received the final data of all the electoral commissions. According to the CEC existing data on August 30 afternoon, in 5 regions were previously nominated 950 candidates for the post of the community head, 218 of which were rejected, and from 4251 council member candidates, 166 were rejected.
Recall that on September 9 local government elections will be held in 86 communities from 97 in Ararat region, in 93 communities from 97 in Armavir, in 96 communities from 113 in Lori, in 113 communities from 119 in Shirak, and in 94 communities from 109 in Syunik region.
The regional head elections are intended to be held in 18 urban communities. In particular, the mayoral elections will be in Kapan, Sisian, Meghri, Kajaran, Agarak and Dastakert communities of Syunik, in Vedi and Masis communities of Ararat, in Metsamor and Echmiadzin communities of Armavir, in Gyumri and Artik communities of Shirak, in Vanadzor, Stepanakert, Tashir, Akhtala, Tumanyan and Shamlugh communities of Lori region.
