Bagrat Asatryan , former CB president (1994-1998) told “1in am news and analyses” that this year Armenian economy won’t face any shocks.
“No , we won’t face any shocks, since in agriculture area we have only 10 % of growth ” said Asatryan and noted that growth is registered in other fields: in economic field it is about 8 %, the industry growth is 13 %, services growth is 11%, and the growth in agriculture is 10 %.
“So, as we see the priority is not given to the agricultural field only. The growth in economical sphere is connected with the industry and other procedures. Construction field continues its decline,” said Asatryan.
According to Asatryan this year is good for the sphere of agriculture, but he added that there are complaints concerning the sale. Some people even complain that they can’t sell the peach, for 70 AMD, which is very cheap for that fruit.
Asatryan stressed that there is another issue, concerning the animal food, which must be solved. As we know the price of the grass, which is given to the animals, is about 3 times higher, than it was last year. It means that the villagers can’t keep the animals in winter, and because of it, they will have to sell it. If it happens, than the price of meet in the market will be very high next year.
