Hayk Demoyan, director of Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute in Yerevan, doesn’t exclude that in 2015 Turkey may open its borders with Armenia, for propaganda purposes. Suren Zolyan, Public Council member and a politician, in his turn, excludes such prospects. You can see the 2 politicians’ “Face to face” debates in Aravot.am website.
“Aravot” asked whether they think it is possible that Turkish-Armenian border will be opened in the near future?
Zolyan answered “Certainly no, it is impossible, because, maybe before the protocols we didn’t really understand the Turkish side concerning our issue, at that time we could have thought about such things, but now I exclude that option. I can tell you more, nowadays Turkey is much more aggressive towards us, than it was about 3 or 4 years ago, and their relations with Azerbaijan has become more and more “brotherly”. Of course, we can’t say surely what will be in the future, moreover, some surprises may also happen, but one think I know for sure, that the relations are not going to get better”.
