The Armenian Mirror Spectator writes that in an effort to help the Armenian government improve the welfare of children in the country, the Brazilian government announced this week that it had decided to make a donation in the amount of $100,000 to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) office in Armenia.
The donation is aimed to support the activities undertaken by UNICEF in Armenia within the framework of the long-term humanitarian and development assistance to the most vulnerable groups, such as youth, pregnant women and mothers, in partnership with civic organizations.
The government of Brazil believes that the welfare of children all over the world is essential for a better future with equal opportunities for all. The symbolic Ceremony of Donation took place at the UNICEF office in Yerevan on August 24.
