Inter Milan defeated Parma 2-0 at home in the 35th round of the Italian Serie A and was declared the champion of the country. Marcus Thuram opened the scoring in the match, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan doubled it.
After this victory, Inter coach Cristian Chivu became the first in the history of Italian football to win the league title three times with the same club, with different squads.
Chivu had previously won the championship title as a coach of Milan’s youth team (in the 2021/22 season) and three times as an Inter player (in the 2007/08, 2008/09, and 2009/10 seasons).
Thanks to this title, the all-time top scorer for the Armenian national team became a two-time Italian champion.
