Military experts from more than 30 countries will meet in London today and tomorrow to work on opening the Strait of Hormuz, British Defense Secretary Jonny Hill said.
“Our task is to translate the diplomatic consensus into a joint plan to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait and support a lasting ceasefire. I am confident that we will make real progress in the next two days,” said Jonny Hill.
Last week, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz met in Paris to discuss the Strait of Hormuz. After the talks, the leaders announced that they would launch a joint naval mission to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait.
