Russia is ready to provide any necessary assistance to achieve a peaceful resolution of the conflict between the United States and Iran, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.
“At the moment, the Russian Federation is not a mediator in the negotiation process. However, as has been repeatedly stated at various levels, we are ready to provide any requested assistance to achieve a peaceful resolution and conclude an appropriate agreement,” he noted.
At the same time, Peskov expressed hope that negotiations between Iran and the United States will continue and that the conflict will not escalate into a military scenario.
“We hope that the negotiation process will continue, and in this way it will be possible to avoid further developments in a force scenario,” Peskov said.
The Kremlin representative also emphasized that, in the event of a continuation of the military conflict, more serious consequences are possible for regional security and the global economy.
