“We are doing everything to establish long-term peace with our neighbors.” President of RA

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met the President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, and congratulated him on his 65th birthday.

In his speech, the Prime Minister noted. “Dear Mr. President, let me congratulate you on your 65th birthday. I sent a message on your birthday, but I wanted to deliver that message to you personally. I highly appreciate your position as President and, in general, the public political activity you have had in the Republic of Armenia since the first day of our country’s foundation.

I also want to thank you for your support of the Government. We make difficult decisions, and it is very important that the Government and I feel your support in all cases when, as a result of joint discussions, we come to the conclusion that the given decision is in the interests of the Republic of Armenia and corresponds to those interests.

But I don’t want to spice up this festive, birthday, and anniversary visit with political texts, especially since today we already had the opportunity to discuss the ongoing processes. Once again, I want to congratulate you, thank you, and wish you health and continued activity for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia.”

In turn, Vahagn Khachaturyan noted. “Mr. Prime Minister, thank you. Thanks for the congratulations.

Age should always be estimated by the year itself; it doesn’t matter if you are 65 or 60. Everyone has their own role and place. And now, at this age, I can make such important decisions for our country with you, the Government, and the National Assembly.

Also, based on my meetings, impressions, and conclusions, I assure you that the initiative you started later became an approach, a principle, especially to find a way to live peacefully with neighbors. And you saw that form; it was those demarcation works.

And be sure that the work done by you, the Government, and the people who are personally engaged in this work today, at this moment, is appreciated by our compatriots, dignified citizens of the Republic of Armenia, by those people who want to live in free, independent, sovereign Armenia.

I have the right today, on this very birthday, to put too much emphasis on that because, after all, what we started in 1988 was the trend. It’s true; maybe we didn’t realize then that the road to a free, independent Armenia would be so long, but today, we have a chance. I am addressing you to continue to make that opportunity a reality. Making it a reality already depends on us, specifically on you, the Government, me as the President of the Republic of Armenia, and our citizens. And I want to direct my words to our citizens: have faith that neither Nikol Pashinyan, the Government, nor any other official will take such responsibility for himself and will not take an illegal step and a decision to yield one millimeter from the Republic of Armenia. will make

We know that border, that red line. We are also doing everything under your leadership to establish long-term peace with our neighbors, the Republic of Azerbaijan. I thank you once again.”
