NA Speaker Alen Simonyan referred to the meeting with Belarusian opposition figure Sviatlana Tikhanovskaya during the Euronest Congress in the European Parliament.
He noted that he thanked Tikhanovskaya for her positive words about Armenia in her speech: “We took part in an event. We left, and in the corridor, I thanked him for making a favorable reference to Armenia. During that event, the reactions and reports of the EU and its partners on Armenia were very evident. There was a moment when the Azerbaijani colleague said something I didn’t need to answer. They answered without giving each other a turn.”
He noted that he did not discuss any political topics: “We didn’t talk about anything. They wrote some things; I don’t even know about that boy’s existence. Not to mention that he is not authorized to discuss some things. He was a guest there.”
