Within the framework of RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan’s official visit to Argentina, Acting General Secretary of the RA Foreign Ministry Davit Karapetyan awarded Mariano Vergara, the former ambassador of Argentina to RA, with the second-class medal of honor of the Foreign Ministry.
Acting General Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Davit Karapetyan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Argentina Hovhannes Virabyan, and former Ambassador of Argentina to the Republic of Armenia Mariano Vergara made speeches during the official awarding ceremony held at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Argentina.
During the speeches, the existence of a high-level political dialogue between Armenia and Argentina, the dynamics of the development of relations in recent years, the achievements, the joint steps aimed at overcoming the challenges in the South Caucasus and around Armenia, and the conditions of wildfires, were emphasized. Ambassador Vergara’s significant contribution during this period has been singled out.
Representatives of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, the diplomatic corps accredited in Buenos Aires, representatives of the Armenian community, and public and political figures attended the event.
