In a conversation with “Armenpress,” Armen Grigoryan, secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, stated that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will meet in Brussels on April 5 to discuss ways of tripartite cooperation contributing to Armenia’s development.
Question: In Granada, Mr. Grigoryan, the Pashinyan-Von der Leyen joint statement of October 5, 2023, stated that President Von der Leyen informed Prime Minister Pashinyan about preparing a joint EU-US event to support Armenia. Has there been any progress made in organizing that event?
Answer: There is progress, and the event date is set. A joint meeting between President Von der Leyen, Prime Minister Pashinyan, and Secretary of State Blinken is scheduled to be held on April 5 of this year in Brussels. The meeting is planned to discuss ways of trilateral cooperation that will contribute to Armenia’s development and strengthen its resilience. There will be an opportunity to discuss the event in more detail in the near future.
