RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the appointment of Khachik Ghazaryan as the President of the Anti-Corruption Court.
According to Pashinyan, the criminal case against Ghazaryan concerning corruption was dismissed based on acquittal, “Ultimately, these people should be appointed from the judicial system. The problem is that we need to make the judicial system the way we want it to be in one act. What do you think the government could do? For example, the government increases judges’ salaries and tries to create a system of social guarantees.
On the other hand, all those alerts should be looked at. I assume that the Central Committee also sees this information, and if this information should push for some action, it will go. If it shouldn’t go for action, then it shouldn’t try. If we look at it that way, there may be a lot of judges that have had proceedings, but do we now consider de jure termination a factor or not? It is a question that I also have to answer, but if so, we have to make legislative regulations.”
