Political analyst Nvard Manasyan thinks that nowadays Armenian civil initiatives are not politicized.
“Different people attend various civil actions and I don’t think that there is a politicized action in it. What should they demand? For example not to have ANC activists in the actions? ” said Nvard Manasyan during the interview with “1in.am News and analyses”.
As for common expression about civil actions being politicized, Manasyan noted.
“During the actions people are fighting for the restoration both for their rights and others. This means that the process has been politicized from the beginning, and if some people are uncomfortable with it, maybe they should review their own values. The campaigns are politicized from the very beginning and we should get used to the fact”, said Manasyan.
According to her, if a person is a politician but takes part in a political action and movement, it does not mean that this action is politicized.
At the same time she noted that one should be careful while talking about being narrowly politicized issues.
