Touching upon the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the signing of the peace treaty in 1991 and the importance of continuing the delimitation process based on the Alma-Ata Declaration.
The participants of the discussion exchanged ideas on the prospects of deepening RA’s partnership with the EU and its member states. Joint efforts aimed at Armenia’s resistance, democratic reforms, and the EU monitoring mission in Armenia were highlighted as important components.
In cooperation with a broader geographical scope, the possibilities of an RA-US strategic partnership were also discussed, as well as the development of North-South and East-West economic and transport channels and the implementation of projects under the “Crossroads of Peace.” “We have received a positive response from our international partners regarding this initiative; it also confirms RA’s commitment to the peace agenda and ensuring sustainable development in the region.”
