Trend reports that Deputy Defense Minister of Georgia, Maya Siprashvili met with military attaches of NATO member countries, head of NATO Liaison Office William Lahue and military coordinator Zbigniew Praszczałek.
The meeting focused on measures implementation which will begin in 2013 and envisage certain benefits for military personnel and their family members.
At the Bucharest Summit in April 2008, Allied Heads of State and Government agreed that Georgia will become a member of NATO. This decision was subsequently reconfirmed at the 2009 Strasbourg/Kehl Summit and 2010 Lisbon Nato and Georgia pursue an active political dialogue and practical cooperation, including through the unique framework provided by the NATO-Georgia Commision in order to assist Georgia to achieve its Euro-Atlantic aspiratons
