This morning at 10.30 the plane of the Armenian airline “Armavia” left for Damascus to bring 120 Syrian-Armenian children to Armenia. As the First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration Vache Terteryan said at the government session, estimated time of return is 14.30 – 15.00. If everything goes well, then at 16.00 – 17.00 o’clock children will be already placed in camps.
According to Terteryan, in general all preparations are made- camp is ready to welcome children, relevant ministries, particularly the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Diaspora, the police and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs carried out everything. The Regional council of Kotaik will also provide health services in the region and the municipality has shown great support in terms of allocating vehicles. Syria’s ambassador is informed about their arrival and expressed a wish to meet them in person.
RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted that they are going to sent 2 more planes to Syria, and this time around 300 children should be brought from Aleppo in order to organize their holidays.
