In the interview with the “First News and Analyses”, the president of the “Freedom of Information Center of Armenia” Shushan Doydoyan talked about today’s announcement given by the RPA Member of Parliament, Mher Sedrakyan.
“I surely qualify Sedrakyan’s act to apologize after the incident as a positive one. However, as far as I’m aware, at first he refused to apologize. It might have happened under the influence of the external forces, I don’t know, but in any case, the fact that an MP apologized to the journalist is a positive thing. And I think that this will be a good example for the rest of the MP’s, who try to threaten the journalists.” said Shushan Doydoyan.
Note that today deputy Mher Sedrakian issued a statement, where he says that he regrets the incident that took place in the National Assembly.
