ARF member Vahan Hovhanisyan had already announced that “Help your brother” civic initiative will help Syrian-Armenians with money.
Our News Agency talked with the messenger of Aleppo Berio Episcopate Zhirayr Rayisyan and asked him to comment on the announcement.
According to Rayisyan the decision to send money is the best decision that could have been made in such situation.
Rasyisyan noted that the main problem is that people are few of fuel and wood and since it couldn’t have been transferred, the best way is to transfer the money and the Episcopate will equally deliver the money to Armenian families living Siryia.
Lilit Galstyan, member of “Help your brother” civic initiative, told our News Agency that so far the organization has collected 41 million 200,000 AMD and 750 thousand rubles which is equal to 25,000 U.S. dollars.
She also noted that PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan has already sent 100.000 USD to Syria.
“We will try to collect more money till we send it to Syria. We will also support those Syrian-Armenians who live here in Armenia.”
