Aram Amatuni in his political analysis reminds there was information that yesterday in Dublin Hilary Clinton made a statement according to which the “Customs Union” or “Eurasian Union” is a step towards “Sovietizing” the region and the US will have to do everything to prevent or slow down ways.
Amatuni believes if the US states this with such an open text it means it sees serious threats from Russia into the region. The US usually does not state this type of open texts and these statements are usually seen as means to prevent Soviet Union power dispersion. This message is also important for the governments and the public of the post-Soviet countries to review their agenda before agreeing to get into the Customs Union. Amatuni concludes this is a message to the governments particularly in the sense that in case they join the Union they will lose the relations with Washington. US message is to ask these governments which one of the two they choose.
