President Serzh Sargsyan during his official visit to the Republic of Lebanon visited Antelias, where he met with His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia. The president’s official website informs that beforre the meeting, President Serzh Sargsyan and Mrs. Rita Sargsyan visited the Cathedral of St. Gregory the Illuminator together with the Catholicos, and then the chapel built in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
In Antelias, during a reception organized by the heads of community organizations, His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia awarded President Serzh Sargsyan with the Order of the Cross of Cilician Cathalicosate.
In his speech to the participants the RA President, referring to the motto “Armenia is strong by Diaspora and Diaspora is strong by Armenia”, reiterated that it is not just a slogan, but a lifestyle. Serzh Sargsyan praised the commitment of the Lebanese community of Armenia and the Great House of Cilicia Catholicosate to our national desires.
“We are always ready to help and support you, and, of course, the pleasure to work with you.” said President Serzh Sargsyan.
