On October 30, RA First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan met with the U.S. Ambassador John Hefern.
During the meeting, President Ter-Petrosyan addressed in detail to Armenia’s internal political problems, the upcoming presidential election, the country’s current poor socio-economic situation, and expressed his views on the future of Armenia and the prospects of development. The President stressed the importance of irreconcilable struggle against systemic corruption and clarified the main steps for it.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Political and Economic Section of the U.S. Embassy Brian Roraf and the head of the Armenian National Congress Levon Zurabyan and representative of the central office Avetis Avagian.
