The pressure gradually increases in Kapan towards regional elections on September 9th. There are news spread in the regional center that the incumbent mayor have promised to raise salaries of the employees of the bodies that are under city hall’s control by 10 thousand AMD.
“Aravot” tried to check the news from Kapan mayor Artur Atayan and get clarification. In the interview with “Aravot” Ms. Atayan said that those spreading the news have misrepresented it to the public. Actually every year the salaries of employees are reviewed and raised among possibilities.
“The matter is that according to real accounts, since 2013 it will be possible to raise the salaries of employees of kindergartens and musical schools by 10 thousand AMD and there was no word about the elections. Misinforming and corruption accusations are the counter-campaign of the other team. I have primarily said that I will lead a fair campaign.”- said Ms. Atayan.
