Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said today in the resort town of Anaklia at a meeting with the Georgian Olympians, that he is proud of Olympic athletes; they are real champions, as they showed heroism and won seven medals for the country, which has been never observed in the past.
Saakashvilli added that there is also “a champion” in jumping out of a window among the athletes.
Thus, he hinted at the judoist Bektila Shukvani, who accused the heads of the delegation that they did not protect his interests. He also said that since he is a supporter of the opposition coalition “Georgia Dream”, and wanted to dedicate the gold medal to Bidzina Ivanishvili, he was persecuted and was forced to jump out of a hotel window and leave London for Tbilisi.
