On December 18 a discussion on human rights protection between Armenia and the EU took place in Brussels which was open and constructive engaging different aspects of human right protection. The Armenian delegation was headed by the deputy MFA Zohrab Mnacakanyan, the deputy defense minister Eghishe Kirakosyan was also in the delegation. The EU delegation was headed by the head of the human rights department policy guideline Elizabeth Tison.
As the First Armenian News and Analyses reports, the meeting covered issues dealing with the human rights preservation, court system changes, elections and electoral procedures, also a number of other issues.
The delegations discussed further possibilities of cooperation with international organizations in this respect with the UN, the OSCE and the European Council.
