We should recall that Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan on November 26 left for the Republic of Lebanon on an official visit.
According to RA presidential administration, President Sargsyan on November 27 met with Armenian community of Lebanon and made a speech.
During the speech he stressed the importance of Armenian community in Lebanon and expressed gratitude for their activities.
Sargsyan stressed that one of the most important reasons for Armenia-Lebanon friendly relations is the community; “Armenians respect Lebanon and they respect Armenians”.
As reported, our president also said that he is proud to see Armenian Ministers and members of Parliament in Lebanon.
“The Armenian community in Lebanon was and still is one of the biggest and strongest Armenian communities in the world. I’m proud to see that you are so united. Your community has a long and strong history, we are proud of your efforts. You are rich, yes you are rich spiritually and culturally” said Sargsyan.
Addressing to present officials, teachers, professors, Sargsyan thanked them for their efforts and what they do for our future generation.
Armenian president also stressed that the community was with Armenia in all 21 years that Armenia is independent and has supported our country in difficult times.
In the end our president talked about Armenian foreign policy and future plans:
“We should go forward and be together. We shouldn’t ask us why me? But to ask why not me? Since every one of you can develop our country.” Stressed Sargsyan.
