National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan referred to the march to Yerevan led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the Diocese of Tavush. He said that he respects citizens who have different opinions and do not agree with him. “But I did not hear a political demand. If they propose to take some action against Azerbaijan, it is to attack with one more step. I don’t know.”
He noted that only the suspension of unilateral concessions was announced. “Armenia does not make unilateral concessions but fixes its border, and this process will continue.”
To the question of whether a change of power could occur, the Speaker of the National Assembly said, “A change of power is possible only through the National Assembly elections, which will take place in 2026.”
He also raised a question. “How often can we try what we did with the same logic?” And try to repeat this with different actors. I got it; think of something new. One thing: in the end, they will bring Vazgen Manukyan, Robert Kocharyan, Serzh Sargsyan, Banani Mihran, and Artur Vanetsyan, Show them, and they will say, These are these people.”
According to Simonyan, the same actors go every time and come back with a different face. “Former actors come and say, let’s try this way now.”
