RPA representative Hamlet Harutyunyan said that he disapproved of the Diaspora’s contribution to “Hayastan” All Armenian fundraising telethon, writes reporter of “First News and Analyses” Eghiazar Ayntaptsi, noting that Harutyunan is probably expressing the dissatisfaction of the authorities, otherwise he would hardly dare to say it.
“In other words, the Republican Party is dissatisfied with the Diaspora, that’s why Harutyunyan also notes that 11 million out of the collected 21 million was from Moscow. Armenia’s government seems to have started expressing its position and attitude towards the Russian Diaspora, which has long been compared with the Western Armenian Diaspora.”
So the author clarifies that RPA is disappointed and now they are trying to reproach the Diaspora, bringing as an “excellent” example the Russian Diaspora.
“Republican’s do not forgive that the western Diaspora investors are dissatisfied with the effectiveness of using their donated money and do not want to enrich the corrupt system of government and to be donors of that system.”
According to the article, instead of complaining of the Diaspora the Republican Party should be dissatisfied with its existence, and if Hamlet Harutyunyan and his friends from the party want generous contribution of the Diaspora, firstly let them create credible conditions in the country.
“RPA has death or power principle. If other principles were operating, then there would not have been such a problem itself, and important national fundraising mechanism would work much better, and the contribution of the Diaspora would have been much greater in Armenia, promoting the comprehensive development of the state and society.” concludes Eghiazar Ayntaptsi.
