Georgian media, citing the announcement made from country’s Ministry of Energy, reports that Georgian Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze and the Silk Road Company head Giorgi Ramishvili have discussed a project to construct hydropower stations on the River Bakhvistskal.
As reported, the project is being implemented by a Turkish company, which is a subsidiary of Silk Road’s partner international holding company the Kusto Group.
It is planned to construct three cascades with a capacity of 35 megawatts on the river.
Around $100 million has already been invested.
