“Prosperous Armenia” party is an opposition force against almost all the authorities of the Republic of Armenia, while towards Serzh Sargsyan “Prosperous Armenia” is the most discreet one. There isn’t a word against Sargsyan or about Sargsyan’s responsibility. Even inside the PAP the most oppositional member V. Oskanian will never raise the issue of Sargsyan’s responsibility and the need for him to leave.”
Reporter of “First News and Analyses” Yeghiazar Ayntaptsi wrote an article on the question why the PAP is so “afraid” or “wary” submitting a claim to Serzh Sargsyan. He notes that maybe “Prosperous Armenia” is moving by its exact scenario, everything to PAP, and nothing to Serzh Sargsyan. Tsarukyan still consistently continues to see off Serzh Sargsyan during foreign visits, while he does not attend the NA sessions, where he may come and defend the interests of his people. According to Ayntaptsi, most likely we deal not with previously drawn clear scenario, but rather with subconscious pragmatism of PAP. In other words, “Prosperous Armenia” perhaps understands that it cannot, or does not have the resources to come out and fight on that level and to present presidential ambitions.
“But what will do the PAP in case of nominating its own candidate? Will “Prosperous Armenia” avoid talking about the removal of Serzh Sargsyan then? Then, against who will be the campaign of the “Prosperous Armenia” party’s candidate, even in the civil strife?
Most likely, “Prosperous Armenia” will set an unequaled record in world election history, when a candidate implements a huge presidential election campaign without a word that the opponent should leave. PAP’s current behavior probably is talking about the fact that despite the statements of this party leader that he is ready to lose his wealth, he is absolutely not ready for it.”
