In his political analysis Aram Amatuni discusses the RP-PAP process controversy which has turned to an intrastate political center and develops in an obviously zigzag motion. These two political powers either criticize each other harshly or have firm agreements and there comes a question: does the RP and PAP simulate the controversy?
Amatuni calls these two political powers a conformist and unprincipled phenomena striving to have the power by all means.
This characteristic is absolutely not strange or illogical for the governing sector of the country, as Amatuni goes on. Even more, this behavior is natural for the opposition as well. As in global politics, the political life in Armenia has become multilayer and everything is diverse from that point of view. This implies Amatuni states, that there is no need to give in to the RP-PAP intrigues.
In Gyumri Arman Sahakyan, a RP member previously lost Martun Grigoryan – a PAP representative. Amatuni mentions that Serzh Sargsyan now passes a RP member which forces the PAP to accept the decision. The interesting part here is that Samvel Balasanyan expresses his support for Arman Sahakyan afterwards Kocharyan announces that the PAP is a separate political power. Thus the RP shows that it has a dominant say in the PAP. Amatuni concludes that Gyumri election processes show that Serzh Sargsyan accepts Kocharyan’s challenge. Amatuni concludes it is not surprising that Kocharyan’s office along with an information on Balasanyan’s decision released a clarification that there was no Kocharyan-Sargsyan abroad meeting thus trying to emphasize that agreements in Gyumri does not refer to him and he does not accept that agreement.
