The Armenian Center of Harvest Promotion has taken up a process of developing greenhouses in Armenia, which has an aim to give a chance to separate villagers and farm households to build and exploit warmth-economizing and highly productive greenhouses.
To realize the aim, the center cooperates with French, Dutch, Israeli and other companies producing greenhouses. The company has already obtained offers on creating greenhouses having 400 square meters and more territory.
Depending on the type and size of the greenhouse, 1 square m will cost 12-30 US dollar.
Works are being done to ensure drip irrigation, cheap heating system and also alternative heating sources, which will reduce the expenditures, thus raising the efficiency and productivity.
The chief director of the company Alexan Arakelyan noted that their center is ready to support both the renovation of already existing greenhouses and the creation of new ones.
