“Aravot” writes that staring from yesterday, October 1, Argentina’s Ambassador to Armenia, Diego Ernesto Alvares Rivera, had a two-day visit to Syunik region.
As reported, on October 1, in Syunik region he visited the sights but unfortunately, due to prophylactic works, the ropeway, located in Tatev, didn’t work and he couldn’t enjoy it.
On that same day he met with Syunik’s Governor, Surik Khachatryan.
Welcoming the guest, Khachatryan said that he will be very glad to cooperate with an Argentinean region.
“Our region is very old, it has a long history. We have a lot of businesses here. I’m sure that what you have in Argentina, we have in this region, and we can cooperate with your country”, said Khachatryan.
Rivera in his turn expressed gratitude for a warm welcome and said that Argentina and Armenia’s Syunik region might cooperate in agriculture and education sectors.
Today the ambassador is expected to meet with the mayors of Meghri and Agarak cities.
