Today during the report fForeign Ministry’s budget execution, ANC (Armenian National Congress) MP Nikol Pashinyan inquired from the deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan on the car expenses of the ministry especially meaning the Foreign Minister’s car. “The minister of Foreign Affairs drives the most expensive car among those serving FMs previously. He must be more discreet.”, noted Pashinyan.
Shavarsh Kocharyan explained that the car is a present from Germany and is not bought by budget sources. Pashinyan argued that such present can mean another thing not in the sense of just a gift. Later Pashinyan announced in the briefing with journalists. “We found out that FM’s S class Mercedes car with a cost of 150-300 thousand dollars is presented by a German. And because Mr. Kocharyan was hurrying to reach the plane, and the minister is not in the country, this discovery appears to be all done during today’s session.”- he said. Pashinyan didn’t elaborate on the possible causes of such expensive presents.
