We should recall that there were rumors that Armenian National Carrier “Armavia” Airlines company will be sold either to an Italian company or to an unknown company.
Armenian journalists interviewed Mikhail Baghdasarov, owner of “Armavia” in order to find out whether the news was close to the reality.
Baghadasarov noted that the news is true, but he is still not sure about the buyer of the company. Either it will be an Italian or some other company.
Nana Avetisova, press secretary of “Armavia” also told the journalists that the company would be sold and mentioned the main reason for that.
“As all of you know, all the international Airlines business is going down. They don’t get any profit because of the crisis. So the head of the company decided to sell it in order to pay the debts which we still have”.
Note, some days ago “Armavia” cancelled all its fights for some hours and the reason was the debts which company had, but at that time, the company’s officials said that they would soon pay the debts as soon as the money is transferred to them and added that because of the national holidays the money has not been yet transferred.
