The profit of the RA banking system in 2012 amounted to 15.4 billion AMD, moreover, the profitability according to assets amounted to 1.5%, and according to the fund- 8.4%. The ratio of the loans granted by banks and GDP increased by 5.5 percentage compared to the beginning of the year and amounted 37.1%. According to the Central Bank’s Financial Stability report semi-annual, ratio of bank deposits and GDP increased by 1.0 percentage points amounting 25.5%.
During the first half of 2012 loans given to the economy increased by 18.7% and totaled 1 trillion 437.4 billion AMD. Compared with the beginning of the year in the total loan portfolio the share of non-performing loans increased by 0.9%, amounting 4.3%.
There is an increase of lending in all sectors of the economy with the exception of the financial sector loans. The highest loans were in agriculture, industry and consumer credit growth, respectively 27.4%, 26.0% and 18.7%.
