“Today, in 2012 year, whatever happened in 1998 seems incomprehensible today, when the President, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, voluntarily resigned from his post. As far as we know all the presidents do their best in order to keep that “Chair” as long as possible. A question is rising from this point. What was the deference between Serzh Sargsyan, Robert Kocharyan and Levon Ter-Petrosyan? The important fact is that he gave up his position without any real pressure (High officials evidence that fact )., and now, almost 5 years he tries to bring the position back, but he still can’t do it .
Nowadays we can make some observation concerning that issue. As we know in 1990-1991 very young people got high positions in newly independent Armenia. This was somehow a coincidence. Some years later, when the public started to criticize these officials, they agreed with them but they were offended from public and gave their mandates as easily as it was purchased earlier. In 1988 the officials gave up the positions. So we see that if a thing is purchased easily it may be the same way lost very easily.
