“Due to the local Government Elections, in Kapan city, the Governor of Syunik Surik Khachatryan and the director of Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Factory (ZCMF) Maxim Hakobyan in regional council have made an assembly concerning the nominated candidates for Kapan city”, writes “Joghovurd and adds:
“However, people were angry not because of the building or the meeting, but the fact that a citizen of Goris (The Governer) and the citizen of Qajaran (The director) have decided who will be the best mayor for Kapan. According to them the best mayor will be Ashot Hayrapetyan, a Republican and director of “Hay Post” CJSC Kapan Postal Branch.In response to this the citizens of Kapan announce that for them the best mayor is the current mayor Artur Atayan, who is in this position since 2008”.
Note, Local Government Elections will be held on Septmber 9, and 3 candidates, Artur Atayan, Ashot Hayrapetyan and Gagik Atajanyan are nominated in Kapan city.
