News.az reports that the regional administration of Kvemo Kartli, located in Georgia, which is heavily populated by ethnic Azerbaijanis, and SOCAR have signed a cooperation memorandum.
According to the source this documentation was signed in Rustavi city, by the Governor of the Georgian region, David Kirkitadze, and president of SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev .
By this agreement, SOCAR will not only take part in the development of regional agricultural infrastructure and irrigation systems settling in the villages of the region but will also be involved in the rehabilitation of schools and kindergartens in the region, providing them with modern infrastructure.
Rovnag Abdullayev said that SOCAR always feels a social responsibility before those countries in which they operate and added that since Kvemo Kartli is a large region, they will assist in the development of infrastructure of schools and kindergartens, as well as the construction of irrigation systems.
